Radiation Safety Terms and Definition
Observation zone - Zone potentially affected by radioactive releases or discharges from a radiation-generating/nuclear facility and subject to monitoring of processes to ensure radiation safety of the radiation-generating or nuclear facility. Radioactive isotopes – Radioactive isotopes with identical numbers of protons in the nucleus, e.g., the following radioactive isotopes of iodine: Iodine-125, -127, -129, -131, -132, -133, etc.
